Some people will deliberately try to stop you from succeeding with your promotion just because they can, so be careful and try not to upset anyone. You could even get banned from the website if you`re overdoing it.

There are a few things you can do about it, but in the end what matters is the content of your submission and the good will of other people. To improve your chances you should:
1. Interact with other users.
Read other people’s posts, vote for them, comment on them, add friends, join groups.
2. Don`t overdo it.
Don`t make more than one profile, don`t spam, never leave inappropriate comments, don`t leave too many comments on the same post, don`t be rude, play nice.

By knowing all these things and taking the few advices listed above, in combination with quality submissions, your chance to get traffic from social bookmarking websites will strongly increase.

Great post, I’ve always found that if you bring authority and quality to any community you will see organic traffic. People are attracted to knowledge and if you can make people think and offer value people will be curious to see what your all about. After that its time to start working on your conversions, but community traffic doesn’t generally convert but they can be very effective places to generate quality backlinks through. Cheers.
Quality has always been the key – whether it is with social bookmarking, building a site or writing on your blog (or anything else you do).

If you run an Adsense website, then Google traffic is more important than organic traffic.
I don’t care about being on the front page. I just submit a new article on some social networks because this will make Google to index your article sooner.
